Quick, Easy, No-bake Holiday Treat: Try HALVAH

Halvah is delightful confection-like sweet whose origins are in the Middle East. 2 cups of raw tahini or raw cashew butter 1 cup pure maple syrup 1 teaspoon cinnamon powder ½ teaspoon vanilla powder ½ teaspoon cardamom powder ¼ teaspoon turmeric powder. Recipe on IreneCarr.com

Halvah is delightful confection-like sweet whose origins are in the Middle East.

2 cups of raw tahini or raw cashew butter
1 cup pure maple syrup
1 teaspoon cinnamon powder
½ teaspoon vanilla powder
½ teaspoon cardamom powder
¼ teaspoon turmeric powder

Combine all ingredients and mix until well blended. May use a mixer or blender. Place in small ramekins and refrigerate for 4-6 hours or longer.  Sprinkle with toasted sesame seeds and serve.

Yields 8-16 servings depending on size of ramekin.
