Who is your everybody?

"Who is your everybody?" - IreneCarr.com (Martha Beck: “by installing a hypercritical social group as (our) definition of Everybody, (our) social selves may well be keeping us from the Everybody who will applaud and support us.”)

We often get stuck and stay small because of our unexamined Everybody.  For instance, how often do we say to ourselves “Everybody thinks I am weird?”

Really, Everybody???  If we examine it honestly, our Everybody is perhaps one or two people and at the most 5 people.

Applause and Support

In Finding Your North Star, Martha Beck reminds us that although everything our minds say may be partially true and said to protect us, the mind is not taking into account that…

Sovereignty

Beyond that, why are we giving our sovereignty away? Why are we placing someone else’s opinions above our own knowing?

Stories… We are stuck in our stories.

Our stories cause suffering. Trust yourself, choose to value your own sovereignty. It will enliven you, and you may just get what you are longing for!
